The Lead Pediatric Echocardiographer will perform basic and advanced echocardiograms (transthoracic and fetal) to obtain detailed anatomical, functional and hemodynamic data on all patients referred to the Echocardiography Laboratory in both out-patient and in-patient settings.The Lead Echocardiographer's role and responsibilities includes the supervision of staff, maintenance of staff core competencies as well as professional development oversight of staff. Additionally, the Lead Echocardiographer will assist in the pursuit and maintenance of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Echocardiography Laboratories (IACEL). The Lead Echocardiographer's activities are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards. Other Responsibilities and/or functions may be required of the Lead Echocardiographer.Associate or Bachelor's degree in diagnostic ultrasound training from CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in echocardiography is required.Position Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound.BLS (Basic Life Support)issued by the AHA (American Heart Association)RDCS Certification(Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) in fetal and pediatric echocardiography issued by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)orRCCS Certification(Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer) by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
