The Career Center at Clarkson University invites applicants to apply for the position of Career Adviser and Employer Relations at the School of Arts & Sciences & Institute for a Sustainable Environment. As a member of the senior team of a comprehensive Career Center, primary responsibilities include, Provide direct support to the Schools of Arts & Sciences, as well as the Institute for a Sustainable Environment, this includes students, employers, faculty, staff, and alumni initiatives. Providing career coaching/ counseling services and related programs to students and alumni, with an emphasis on students in the Schools of A&S, as well as ISE. Expand experiential education opportunities for students and relationships with employers. Engaging employers in recruiting opportunities and programs in support of the Schools of A&S and ISE. Manage services and resources for diversity and inclusion initiatives. Lead and coordinate pre-health related initiatives. Position requires occasional night and weekend hours in support of the University.
Minimum qualifications include Bachelors degree in psychology, social sciences, business, human resources, or a related field required. Two to three years of related experience. Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge/experience in job selection and application, writing job correspondence, academic major selection or technical recruiting resulting in proven career and job search coaching skills.
