Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union Real Estate Loan Servicing Team Leader in Poughkeepsie, New York

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Real Estate Loan Servicing Team Leader. Primary Function: monitor the workload and work schedules of team members and assigns duties to maximize productivity and meet turnaround goals. Responsible for the specialized servicing required for residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, construction loans, mortgage participation loans and Collection approved modification loans including adherence to their applicable guidelines, procedures and deadlines. Process member service requests and other daily tasks as required.

  • Oversee the completion of the daily tasks and events in the real estate loan servicing area related to first mortgages. Notify the Real Estate Loan Servicing Supervisor of any concerns/issues for further direction.

  • Hold weekly meetings with servicing staff to monitor workload and ensure that work is completed within established turn times.

  • Perform the quality control of key servicing activities as well as new mortgage loans exported to or manually set up in the mortgage servicing system.

  • Responsible for the accuracy of Business Services commercial mortgage and participation new loan set-up in accordance with established procedures. Coordinate with Business Services, Collections and Accounting teams to ensure commercial mortgages and participations are tracked and serviced in accordance with established procedures.

  • Responsible for the review and reconciliation of assigned mortgage servicing system reports.

  • Accountable for the review, documentation and approval of insurance claims and endorsement of claims check within authority.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the mortgage servicing system software, remain current on new releases and recommend process improvements as needed.

  • Oversee all functions pertaining to escrow accounts including compliance, accurate multi-million dollar tax payments, annual escrow analysis statements and IRS tax statements. Examine and is responsible for legal documents pertaining to disbursements on construction loans. Ensure Credit Union conformity to regulations and investor requirements regarding PMI, MIP, Homeowner’s Insurance and Flood Insurance. Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the regulatory compliance requirements for these servicing functions.

  • Responsible for monitoring and completing the annual schedule of key servicing functions. This schedule includes, but is not limited to, the coordination of escrow accounts, processing payments and preparing and organizing all required monthly and annual statements.

  • Maintain knowledge; provide training and procedural support, while ensuring regulatory compliance, to all Real Estate Loan Servicing employees in addition to serving as back-up to the Real Estate Loan Servicing Supervisor.

  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
