Title: Line Cook

A line cook will strive to exceed our guests expectations and ensure their complete satisfaction, prep food items, stock for one station, prepare food during service in a correct and efficient manner while keeping the station clean and orderly. Be required to maintain proper food handling and safety procedures for all products in the station through preparation, production, and plating of menu items.
You will be exposed to moderate noise levels, cleaning chemicals, knives, sharp objects, open flames, hot surfaces and moderate heat (air temperature). You will be required to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors, frequently bend and lift weight up to sixty pounds, climb stairs on an occasional basis, and frequently stretch and reach. You will be working in a fast paced physical environment.
Candidates should be willing & able to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate. Full time and part time. 20-40 hours per week.

Maintains proper food handling and safety procedures for all products in station. Coordinates selling of single out tickets from the station. Has thorough recipe and procedure knowledge for all items produced from station. Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set. Prepares and stocks needed product and supplies. Responsible for end of shift cleaning, breaking down and reducing of station. Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational procedures. Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Brew House Manager

Health Department Inspections. Housekeeping reviews. Food reviews. Service sequence and technical reviews. Performance appraisal results based on expectations. Reliability/Attendance: Impeccable


Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Six months-one year in very high volume, fast paced production environment. High school diploma/equivalency preferred. Must obtain State mandated food safety certification. 6 months experience in a commercial kitchen environment.

English language and professional communications skills are required. Ability to take direction. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.

Working Conditions
This position will spend 100% of the time standing. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water. Moderate noise level. Exposure to knives and sharp objects. Exposure to open flames and hot surfaces. Fast paced physical environment. The individual must be able to transport up to 60 pounds. Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.
