Job Description Details:
Looking for a Per Diem Radiation Therapist.
Assures compliance to Radiation Oncology’s radiation protection program.
Serves as the primary liaison between patients and other members of the radiation oncology team. Also provide a link to other health care providers, such as social workers and dietitians.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy and an awareness of safety issues.
Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of patients.
Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist(s).
Display professional conduct essential to the well-being of the radiation oncology patient.
Demonstrate effective written communication skills; Maintain accurate and detailed electronic treatment chart documentation.
Demonstrate effective verbal communication skills in the clinical setting.
Observe the clinical progress of the radiation oncology patient, use clinical decision making skills to recognize and report any signs of complications.
Utilize treatment accessories to accurately reproduce all radiation treatments.
Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols.
