Job Summary: The RMSP (Rural Medical Scholars Program) Administrative Assistant will provide support to the RMSP team in terms of communicating with student's, site contacts, site visitors, and University Office, as well as manage the schedule and expectations for the Program Director and provide administrative support to the department administrator and assigned faculty. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, writing cover letters, completing and updating site visit schedules, managing the Continuing Medical Education documents, performing site maintenance, supporting students, organizing site visit binders, assist in planning seminars, and maintaining the electronic file database. In addition, the RMSP Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the administrative functions of the department purchasing and reimbursement, maintain daily front desk coverage, administrative support for meetings and courses, track and manage the database for affiliation agreements, track and manage faculty appointments, assist with all aspects of planning two annual conferences, apply for CME for conference attendance annually, submit timesheets for work study students, and assist with educational management systems (i.e. MedHub and Blackboard), among other duties as needed. Sites include rural community hospital and physician partner sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative experience required. Must have excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with higher education academic programs. Medical secretarial experience.

Work Days:

Mon-Fri, 8am - 430pm
