Job Summary:The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Program within the Transplant Department by tracking and reporting process and outcome measures on an ongoing basis for the organ transplant program. Working with the Transplant Administrator and team, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will direct performance improvement by providing project management and facilitation, oversight and development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of quality assessment activities as outlined in the Transplant Quality Assessment and Process Improvement program. The incumbent will facilitate quality projects through formal quality methodology application, i.e PDSA-T, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 as required by CMS. Oversight of the QAPI process will include: data collection, validation and analysis. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will also lead the team in identifying QAPI projects and providing oversight of adverse event management. Moreover, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will manage the Transplant department's compliance with organizational goals and requirements of external agencies in the area of quality and accreditation. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. A member of the department's leadership team, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will provide direct supervision of the Data Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field and two years of relevant health care related experience to include experience with clinical databases, data analysis and quality improvement initiatives required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills required. Must have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Master's degree and experience with quality management preferred.
