The Cardiovascular & Renal TFA is seeking a highly dedicated and motivated R&D associate to join our renal subgroup. The candidate would be joining a close-knit team of in vivo and in vitro scientists pursuing drug discovery and development in various renal indications. The candidate would primarily be working with ex vivo and in vitro assays, and should be enthusiastic, eager to learn, and passionate about science. Must be capable of working both independently and in collaboration with other members of our group, as well as across departments.


Primary responsibilities involve running biochemical and immunoassays in a timely, high-throughput, and reproducible manner. Additional responsibilities may also include rodent dosing, blood/urine collection, study takedown, and postmortem tissue collection. Must be able to provide critiques and input on study design and planning, as well as the ability to analyze, interpret, and present data clearly and concisely.


Required: Experience running immunoassays and other biochemical assays, including both commercial ELISAs and custom plate-based assays. Experience running and developing assays on the Gyrolab platform. Experience with additional molecular biology techniques such as immunoblotting and protein labeling. Must be able to handle high sample volumes, manage concurrent experiments, and multitask effectively.

Desired: Some experience handling rodents for dosing (s.c., i.v., i.p., oral), blood and urine collection, and takedown. Some experience with cell culture techniques is a plus.

Desired: Background knowledge of kidney biology and immunology, specifically the complement system. Familiarity with acute and chronic kidney disease models.

Minimum Years of Experience:

BS or MS with at least one to two years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry

This position will require the individual to pass a physical before beginning employment.
