Lockheed Martin Program Manager in Uniondale, New York
Description: Duties include planning, project execution and control, resource supply/demand management, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance, and project implementation. Proven expertise in project planning methodology and in leading a matrix managed team through a project life cycle is a must. Relationship building skills are essential as well as the ability to manage complex, large-scale project schedules with multiple inter-dependencies. Expertise in managing budgets, work plans and schedules, deliverables and responsibility matrices is critical.
Must excel at written and verbal communications with personnel / customers ranging from inexperienced personnel thorough Admiral or Executive Leadership level. Comfortable with multiple customer interactions who are co-resident on site. Multi-tasking is expected with ability to think at a system level while also driving down to technical details such as sonar systems, circuit card assemblies, cabinet integration, and/or other submarine systems. Required to execute to standard processes across all disciplines including hardware / software development, system test, problem resolution, configuration management, quality systems, contracts, finance and master planning. Will be required to conduct daily meetings with full customer attendance across multiple organizations (procurement agency, audit agency, technical branch). Well versed in earned value management system (EVMS) compliance to ANSI / EIA-748 requirements and reporting is essential. Required to work under various contract types / vehicles including cost plus, level of effort, task to complete, etc. and be able to manage all types concurrently.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification level 1 or Lockheed Martin PM Level 1 certification
10 years’ experience in program management, engineering program management, or equivalent military service
Highly proficient in EVMS, Risk Management, DoD Contracts, Master Planning
Proven ability to increase Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPARS).
Proven ability to manage and control schedule / scope / cost on an challenging program.
Current Secret security clearance with ability to gain Top Secret
Ability to travel (up to 50%)
Subcontract Management Experience
Experience at a small site (<400 people)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification level 2 or Lockheed Martin PM Level 2 certification
Trident Submarine program experience
