Job Description
As a Senior Telecommunications Technician you will install and support onsite and remote telecom equipment and telecommunications systems. You will ensure that all phases of telecom support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked and resolved. You will also prioritize, diagnose, and troubleshoot reported problems with onsite and remote telecom equipment. As a member of this team you will install, configure, upgrade and support complex or net-new telecom equipment including but not limited to analog phones, IP phones, fax machines, mobile phones, pagers and PA systems. You will be responsible for performing complex telecom moves, adds, and changes (MAC work) for end users as well as perform complex hardware and software maintenance, such as upgrades, moving systems, and documenting changes and managing mobile devices. In addition, you will manage maintenance cross connect wiring, make software changes to digital switches and adjustments on telephony equipment and systems for maximum operating efficiency. Finally, you will manage equipment PAR levels and ordering and receiving of new equipment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Associates degree or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 5 years of Telecommunications support work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications or Information Systems
At least 5 years experience with VoIP
Expectations
Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Valhalla, NY area
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
