Machining/Fabrication Engineer

Location: Victor, NY

Reports to: Shop Manager

Job Summary: The Machining/Fabrication Engineer will effectively utilize demonstrated working knowledge of fabrication processes for sustaining and improving production.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures efficient operation of machining and fabrication processes for production; creates project plans, performs utilization studies, identifies capacity needs and constraints, and makes recommendations for improvements.

  • Investigates production problems and interfaces with a variety of areas before recommending a solution.

  • Support cross functional teams in the areas of new product launches supporting continuous improvement in the fabrication value stream.

Education & Experience:

  • 5 – 8 years hands on experience in a Fabrication environment required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Frequent standing, some travel, some heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.

  • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day in a manufacturing environment.

  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, handle, reach, and perform repetitive motion.
