Job Title: CLC Floor Supervisor

Job Area: Children's Learning Center

Department: Children's Learning Center

Reports To: Children's Learning Center Director

Overview of Position: The Floor Supervisor is responsible for all floor activities with the children. They also supervise floor staff to ensure smooth transition between activities, including preparation for and returning from outdoor lessons. The Floor Supervisor also supervises floor staff

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be comfortable interacting with children, staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.

  • Must be able to give direction to employees and supervise throughout the day.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Must be able to delegate responsibility to employees to ensure that programs are as effective as possible.

  • Must be mature, responsible, conscientious, and patient.

  • Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded situation.

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Job Duties: The list below best represents many of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Windham Mountain Resort. This list of duties is not intended to represent all of the tasks you may be asked to perform, however Windham Mountain Resort will never require you to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately trained to perform.

  • Report any concerns regarding staff and/or program to the CLC Director.

  • Organize, plan and direct floor staff to execute daily program.

  • Keep an accurate log of all activities in floor Program Guide Book.

  • Assist supervisor with staffing suggestions.

  • Conduct daily AM meetings to go over the itinerary and staff's individual job responsibility for the day.

  • Motivate floor staff so that they are utilizing time efficiently. With payroll in mind work with Director to dismiss staff as necessary.

  • Assist Director in scheduling lunch and breaks for floor staff on weekends and holidays.

  • Work with CLC craft budget to organize and place orders for craft supplies.

  • Be liaison between CLC front staff, floor staff and CLC instructors - make sure transition between children admittance (dressing and undressing) and placement in-groups is smooth.

  • Oversee and manage snack and meal times working with kitchen coordinator.

  • Be a liaison between CLC kitchen and front staff to ensure accuracy of meal numbers.

  • Be liaison between CLC front staff and advise if children have come in early from a lesson, or if a parent needs to be called for specific reasons.

  • Report any injuries of staff to supervisor immediately.

  • Enforce dress code.

  • Enable employees to come to you with suggestions or problems and meet with supervisor on weekly basis to discuss any situation that may need resolution.

  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a quality product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.

We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests. We expect employees to arrive promptly.

Dress Code:

  • Name Tag must always be worn - no exceptions.

  • Must be neat and clean - shower daily, nails clean: overall approachable appearance.

  • Medium to Dark Wash Jeans with no tears/holes worn at or above the hipbones.

  • Blue WMR Shirt (issued) must be your showing layer; may wear a white shirt underneath.

  • Those receiving Black Vests (issued) must wear them zipped. Blue WMR Shirt cannot hang out beneath vest.
